What if things were different?
I've come to a very difficult decision. I am going to take some time off from academia and explore something new. There is a lot to say, and a lot going on, but now is not the time. I love astronomy, and I'll come back to it again someday, but I need to do something else for a while.

Actually NOW is always the right time.
We defer in our ignorance, only to bear the weight of regret later.
I for one love being at the crossroads, taking difficult decisions every coupla years.
BTW being a star-gazer's cool. What's cooler is that the stars also get to see you in the bargain.
Sorry didn't know u were an astrophysicist! Then maybe you should see more of your own planet... starting with NYC
